Two of the Russian composers who have most marked musical Romanticism. Sergei Rachmaninov composed 4 piano concertos, and the second concerto is perhaps the one that presents an extremely challenging technical side combined with a series of intimate elements infused with a great lyricism. Penultimate symphony among the six composed, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 proposes the great recurring moments of Russian symphonism, from popular themes to more intense pages.
