Memorial Lubrani-Meoni

The famous Memorial Lubrani-Meoni, organized and promoted by the nautical section Ovosodo, in collaboration with the nautical section Venice to celebrate Giancarlo Lubrani and Luigi Meoni, finally returns to be part of the Livorno rowing races with its 14th edition. The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 5 starting at 9 approximately on the water between the Delle Cantine docks and the New Fortress on a time trial course of approximately 1000 meters (departure from Republic Square, rounding buoy in Legnami Square, rounding buoy in Republic Square, finish in front of the cellar of Pontino San Marco). The event will see a competition between, in this order, 5 female crews and 7 for the 4-oar mini race, 8 male crews and 2 female crews for the 10-oar, and the special Olympics category, for people with disabilities, which will also include some challenges on the rowing ergometer on land.
This is the starting order: female 4-oar (start at 9.14): Borgo, Salviano, Labrone, Ardenza, Ovosodo, Special Olympics (start at 9.50), mini race (start at 10.14): Borgo, Salviano, Labrone, Ardenza, Ovosodo, Venice, Pontino, 10-oar male (start at 11.28) Ardenza, Pontino, Salviano, Borgo, San Jacopo, Labrone, Venice, Ovosodo, 10-oar female (start at 12.40) Borgo, Ovosodo.
The jury is entrusted to the Italian Rowing Federation equipped with a fixed-seat photocell, while the event’s speaker will be Massimiliano Bardocci. At the end of the races, the awards will be presented.
