Maria and love

Maria is an extraordinary sensitive cleaning woman. Passionate about writing, we meet her at a client’s house, in the middle of a funeral vigil, waiting for a reassignment. She will be sent to the School of Fine Arts in Paris, a completely unknown universe to her. She will have to learn that there are bizarre artworks (made of similar butter, not to be thrown away in the trash) and that there are creative students whom she can help. How? Through her hands, her skills, but also her body.
We are faced with a compelling story of transformation and inner journey, of encounter and confrontation with art but also with the other. A story that is also universal, as universal is the desire to discover oneself, to give oneself another chance, to emancipate oneself and to nourish one’s soul with fulfilling art and relationships.
The film reveals itself as a charming and enjoyable portrait of a woman determined to reclaim her desires, a useful and convincing metaphor to suggest to the viewer that it is never too late to be happy.
