The series “The Opera on a Budget” – or the opera in 60 minutes, the fresh and engaging initiative in the name of opera proposed by Teatro Goldoni Foundation and Menicagli Pianoforti. Through three appointments in the historic Old Fortress the project continues that makes opera accessibility and popularity one of its identifying features; selected pages of lyrical masterpieces narrated by voice, soloists, chorus and orchestral ensemble.
“The title of the series says it all – states the Director of Goldoni Foundation Mario Menicagli  – The Opera on a Budget is a clear reference to Bertolt Brecht’s masterpiece, but the quote refers not only to the ticket cost (10 euros for a single seat), but it clearly aims to reach out to a wide audience, not necessarily connected to the world of opera, for those who already love it, and for those who would like to discover it for the first time”.
The one-hour performances will allow you to approach the heart of the emotions that the great masterpieces of opera are able to offer, with a semi-staged version and strictly in costume, respectful of the dramaturgy and careful to convey the charm of the highlights.
