THE FIXED SHADOW OF THE DOG

For the afternoons of the Library of the Vespucci-Colombo Institute, in collaboration with Astarte Edizioni and Erasmo Libri, Friday, May 24th, at 6.30 pm, the book by Elena Campani THE FIXED SHADOW OF THE DOG (Astarte Edizioni) will be presented at the Chioschino di Villa Fabbricotti, Viale della Libertà, 30. The sudden death of a student disrupts the quiet everyday life of a high school in the province. While students and teachers are busy processing grief unraveling between suspicions, doubts and lies, Tuva Colmar ― an introverted librarian marked by a recent trauma ― conducts her own investigation. As if guided by some kind of animal instinct, she will find the solution to the mystery among the books she deals with and will explore the blurred boundary between consciousness and guilt.

Elena Campani works as an academic editor, translator, and teacher. The Fixed Shadow of the Dog (Astarte Edizioni) is her first novel and combines the experience of her years of teaching in high school, a great passion for Art History and books, her curiosity towards dogs, and the fascination that stories hiding a mystery have always exerted on her.
