Cinema Lessons – REALITY, VISIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS

The eighth edition of the project “Cinema Lessons” starts on Saturday, October 26, with a series of six events (four lessons and two films) that will conclude in January 2025.

Titled “REALITY, VISIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS,” this eighth edition of the Lessons is organized in synergy between 50&Più University of Livorno, Centro Studi Commedia all’italiana, Erasmo Libri Editore, and the Kinoglaz Cinema Club, which have been promoting the culture of Cinema in the local area for years. The Lessons are sponsored by the Province of Livorno, the Municipality of Livorno, and ConfCommercio Livorno.

The cycle includes four lessons that will take place on Saturday afternoons at the Auditorium of the Mediterranean Natural History Museum in Via Roma, 234. The meetings will feature scholars and film critics addressing various themes, interspersed with film clips.

The second of these lessons (Marathon Lesson) includes two sessions, afternoon and evening, with multiple critics discussing the theme of “The Seven Deadly Sins.” Enthusiastic participants in the art of cinema will have the opportunity to listen to eight speakers, each presenting a film related to one of the seven sins.

The program also includes two film screenings on Sunday afternoons at the Grattacielo Art Center, Via del Platano 6, in collaboration with the Kinoglaz Cinema Club, which will present two films related to the theme of the eighth edition. The films will be introduced by industry experts.
