OUR WOMEN

Max (Luca Bizzarri), Paul (Enzo Paci), and Simon (Antonio Zavatteri) have been friends for thirty years. A true, unbreakable, and joyful friendship. Their professional lives are a success, but their personal lives are a bit less so. One evening, the three friends meet at Max’s house for their usual poker game. But Simon will arrive almost an hour late, giving the two friends a shocking reason. The poker game will never start, and we will witness a series of verbal clashes that could lead to a definitive break in their long-standing friendship. And women will be the absolute protagonists of all the conflicts that arise. “Le Nostre Donne” is a French comedy by the contemporary Franco-Tunisian author Eric Assous (he won the Molière for best French-speaking author in 2010 for “L’Illusione Coniugale”) in which the greats of French cinema and theater have been tested: after the great success at the Theatre de Paris with Jean Reno and Daniel Auteuil on stage, the same co-star and director Richard Berry made the homonymous film (Nos femmes) in 2015 with the same Auteuil. A comedic and intelligent comedy, masterfully balanced in perfect French style: refined and sacrilegious, light and ruthless at the same time, with an unstoppable rhythm that plays with role reversals and twists. A male actor test, where the women of the title are not physically present, but still invade the scene: loved, hated, mourned, materialized absences through the speeches of their crisis-ridden men. On stage, a well-known name like Luca Bizzarri, recently returned to his first love, theater, Enzo Paci, acclaimed protagonist of Rai Uno’s film “Come è umano lei” about the life of Paolo Villaggio, and Antonio Zavatteri, actor and theater director, often appreciated in TV series and films. All three – like director Alberto Giusta – graduated from the Stabile School in Genoa, a true hallmark of quality.
