The BEAUTY and fragility of marine creatures. At Porta a Mare arrives the world of “Little Sea”

Environment, awareness, and marine biodiversity. On Wednesday, September 23rd, at 6 pm inside the commercial complex Porta a Mare, the coloring book “Little Sea. Forms and colors of marine biodiversity” will be presented, published by the publishing house Sillabe and curated by the Didactic Department of the Livorno Aquarium in collaboration with the illustrator Giulia Bernini, known as Oblo creature.

“Little Sea. Forms and colors of marine biodiversity” is a creative and colorful journey that takes children – and not only – to discover the underwater world. It is a coloring book, full of games, drawings and curiosities, which invite to appreciate the beauty and fragility of the creatures that inhabit our seas. The possibility to color the black and white drawings, copying or taking inspiration from those already colored by the illustrator, further reinforces the awareness message of the Livorno Aquarium, creating an even clearer and more detailed memory of those creatures. The coloring book is enriched by the texts of Alice Malotti, events manager of the Livorno Aquarium, and Giovanni Raimondi, biologist and scientific coordinator of the Livorno Aquarium.

The publication is part of the historical collaboration between the publishing house Sillabe, one of the most important Italian realities for services related to art ranging from publishing to merchandising, and Costa Edutainment S.p.A., a leading company in Italy in the field of edutainment with twelve facilities managed including theme parks, water parks and aquariums, among which the Livorno Aquarium. Sillabe has been collaborating for years with the Costa Edutainment group, with particular reference to the Livorno Aquarium and the Genoa Aquarium, for which it produces editorial and educational publications focused on the marine sector and creates merchandising lines, ensuring particular attention to sustainability for an increasingly responsible and conscious relationship with the environment. Furthermore, Sillabe, with its staff, directly manages the gift shops of the two aquariums.

At the presentation on Wednesday, September 23, Alice Malotti, events manager of the Livorno Aquarium, Giovanni Raimondi, biologist and scientific coordinator of the Livorno Aquarium, Giulia Bernini known as Oblo creature, illustrator of the volume, and Giulia Perni, editorial director of the publishing house Sillabe, will participate.
