The afternoons at the Vespucci-Colombo Library with Massimo Gezzi

For The afternoons of the Vespucci-Colombo Library, in collaboration with Erasmo Libri, Monday 18 March, at 6.30 pm, in the Aula Magna of the Vespucci-Colombo Institute, via Chiarini, meeting with the poet Massimo Gezzi who will talk about poetry, lyric, research with Paolo Cosci.

Max Gezzi was born in Sant’Elpidio a Mare (Marche) in 1976 and now lives in Lugano, where he teaches. Author of poetry, translator (from English) and literary critic,

Gezzi is also among the founders and coordinators of the well-known electronic magazine Le parole e le cose. Massimo Gezzi has published the poetry books The sea on the right (Atelier, 2004), The moment after (Luca Sossella editore, 2009, Metauro Award), The number of the living (Donzelli, 2015, Swiss Literature Prize, Carducci Prize, Tirinnanzi Prize), One of none. Story of Giovanni Antonelli, poet (Casagrande, 2016), Always world (Marcos y Marcos, 2022) and the book of short stories The close stars (Bollati Boringhieri, 2021, finalist Mastercard Literature Debut Prize). He curated for Mondadori the Diary of ’71 and ’72 by Eugenio Montale and the Oscar Poems 1975-2012 by Franco Buffoni (Mondadori, 2012), for Marcos y Marcos the Selected Poems of Luigi Di Ruscio (2019).
