GUITAR & KEYS – Eden at Terrazza Mascagni

Eden is the name of the amusement park that, in the last decade of the 1800s, was built on what was then the “Spianata dei Cavalleggeri.” Transformed in the 1930s into the beautiful terrace we know today, it was dedicated to Pietro Mascagni after the Second World War.

To connect to the historical memory of this place destined for entertainment, it was decided to call “L’Eden alla Terrazza Mascagni” the large tensile structure designed by Fondazione LEM – Livorno Euro Mediterranea to host a series of events that will animate an iconic place for the people of Livorno and tourists from April 30 to May 26, 2024.

There are six events that will mark the approach to the “longest summer in the world” inside the large 800 square meter tensile structure.

The first of the six is GUITAR & KEYS (Tuesday, April 30 – Sunday, May 5).

The “Guitar & Keys” event was born as an exhibition dedicated exclusively to the legendary Fender guitars. Then the idea of adding the most famous vintage keyboards to the exhibition was born, creating a unique event of its kind.

Inside the tensile structure of the Eden alla Terrazza Mascagni, a fantastic exhibition of these captivating vintage instruments from the 50s, 60s, and 70s will come to life. In particular, the most important collection of Fender guitars in Europe, belonging to Flavio Camorani, will be on display. Already present twice at the Surfer Joe with his amazing collection, this time he presents his complete collection. In practice, everything that Fender produced between 1951 and 1974.

Thanks to Organ Studio Italia by Keki Andrei in Ortonovo, it will also be possible to visit the most important exhibition of vintage keyboards in Italy and beyond. Hammond organs, Rhodes and Wurlitzer pianos can be admired.

All this will be accompanied by concerts scheduled both inside the Surfer Joe and the tensile structure, where a stage for performances will be set up.

This event also includes the May 1st concert, curated by Surfer Joe, which will feature 7 bands performing on stage from the afternoon until late at night.

The opening hours of Guitar & Keys will be as follows:
Tue 30/4 from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Wed 1/5 from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm, Thu 2/5 from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Fri 3/5 from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Sat 4/5 from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm, Sun 5/5 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
