Giovanni March – The Painter of Light and Atmosphere

On Friday, September 15th at 5 pm, the third appointment of “LibrArti” will take place at the premises of the Villa Mimbelli Library, with Michele Pierleoni and the presentation of the catalog “Giovanni March – The Painter of light and atmosphere”.

This is the catalog of the latest important exhibition dedicated to the artist from Livorno, which was held in Livorno, at the representative headquarters of Castagneto Banca 1910, from April 15th to May 27th, 2023.

The Livorno exhibition, almost thirty years after the last exhibition dedicated to March, had the great merit of giving a clear reading of the artist’s artistic journey, for his ability to continuously abandon the safe path outlined with difficulty, towards always new and unpredictable paths.

Michele Pierleoni, curator of the exhibition and catalog, is a well-known gallery owner and art historian from Livorno, organizer of the exhibitions held at the representative headquarters of Banca di Castagneto Carducci in Livorno and president of the Labronico Group.

Jacopo Suggi, art historian and museum operator, will moderate the event.
