Minutera is a Spanish word, indicating “a time of a few seconds.” A moment captured, that in just a few minutes, seems to appear from a magic box.
Nicola Mauro Salza and Alessandro Solimani are among the few remaining minute photographers in Italy. They roam the squares with their miniature darkrooms, carrying on a profession out of passion that seems to have been lost in time, introducing people to the wonder of an ancient photographic art and leaving in the hands of those who desire it, a “moment” immortalized on a piece of wet silver paper.
