Big concert: 1st May at Fortezza Nuova

On the first of May we start with the Workers’ Day celebration, organized by Cgil province of Livorno and Cgil Tuscany, in collaboration with The Cage/Xlr Productions and Fortezza Village.

Concerts, dj sets, street food, bars, play areas, debate spaces, and category stands for citizens. A program yet to be fully revealed that presents itself immediately as a day of leisure, fun, and reflection. It will be an opportunity to talk about employment issues, reaffirm the importance of defending workers’ rights, and relaunch the battle for health and safety.

The event will also coincide with the inauguration of concerts at the main stage of Fortezza Nuova: The Magnificent Arena. Bobo Rondelli will perform with The Crazy People of the Reeds, a Maremma band of popular music. Before them, Luarte Project will perform: jazz musician Chiara Pellegrini along with other cosmopolitan multi-instrumentalists in a world fusion key. Opening for them, The Unchained will revisit Quentin Tarantino’s soundtrack repertoire.

It will be a Workers’ Day open to everyone and free of charge. The complete program of the celebration, which will begin at 11:00, will be communicated in the coming weeks by the organizers.

Throughout the summer, under the direction of Toto Barbato (The Cage/XLR Productions), national and international artists will also take turns on the main stage, such as the 2000s party Teenage Dream (June 7), the band Bnkr44 (June 8) fresh from their performance at the Sanremo Festival, Australian folk singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd (August 8) and many more names yet to be announced.
