Two Loose Concert – No Loop and Loose: unique women

“No Loop and Loose: irreplaceable women” is a show, a play between the repeated and the unrepeatable. Through the exploration of a repertoire entirely female, drawing from the works of singer-songwriters and great performers ranging from the pop folk of Carol King to the R&B of Amy Winehouse, from the proto-punk of Patty Smith to the Irish rock of Dolores O’Riordan, passing through Grace Slick and the psychedelia and folk rock of Edie Brickell, from the appealing style of Billie Eilish’s alternative pop to the chameleonic indie of St Vincent. A journey between traditional songwriting and poetry, with women who have scratched the history of music in one way or another, close or far, and in their uniqueness are presented among the guitar loops and vocals. The proposal of Two Loose is fresh and nonchalant and the songs are pearls of international female pop rock that are approached with musical originality and sensitivity.

A journey through the stories and small anecdotes of the protagonists, choices and set to the taste and sense of familiarity perceived by the duo Greta Merli and Ada Doria; the narrative is given by the same sound representation and the construction of the performance also goes through words and narration: a common thread between the songs and the music. Each woman has her own style, her own character, her own story so a special way to be told and interpreted. The stories and music will tend to intercept that uniqueness, to bring the listener into the history of the songs, bringing them closer to the authors or musicians themselves.

Two Loose were born in 2018 with their tribute to women and over the years the show finds a constantly new form, thanks to their participation in some musical events: “from Mezzogiorno a Mezzanotte”, “Livorno al Centro”, “Per le vie del Borgo” (Santa Luce) and many concerts in squares, clubs, and city events. On the occasion of Effetto Venezia 2025, “No loop and Loose: irreplaceable women” has the opportunity to reach a wide audience and to be part of an event dedicated to the female world.
