BNKR 44 live @Fortezza Nuova

The second appointment for the away season of The Cage is with the BNKR44, who have just recently participated in the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song “Government Punk”. Previously, the group had won Sanremo Giovani with Clara and Santi Francesi with the song “Special Effects”. Born in 2019 from the collaboration of seven boys from the small village of Villanova in the province of Florence, BNKR44 is composed of Erin, Piccolo, Faster, JxN, Caph and Fares and are led and coordinated by the artistic director gheray0. A band with an unpredictable sound, they immediately stood out in the Italian music scene for their originality: divided between music, painting, creating clothing articles, and production, their unique and recognizable work is a manifesto of the courage of young people from the Italian province, willing to put everything at stake to share their vision with the world. After their first album, “44.Deluxe,” and its promotional summer tour, the boys from Florence released “It’s okay to hurt ourselves,” an album-manifesto of their urban-pop style. In 2022, they signed important collaborations in Night Skinny’s “Botox” with Diavolo (feat. Ghali, Rkomi and Tedua), in “That’s not how it goes” (feat. Madame, Gaia, Rkomi and Elisa) and in Sick Luke’s “X2 Deluxe” with “I’ll call you tomorrow” (feat. Tananai). In 2023, the band’s third album, “Off-road,” will be released by Bomba Dischi (distributed by Virgin Records/Universal). Among the collaborations is also the latest album by Tedua. The growth path of BNKR44 has been rapid and unexpected from the start, like a sudden leap from Soundcloud and provincial bedrooms to the most prestigious stage in Italy and a tour throughout the boot.
