After the great success of last season, back by popular demand: “Hanging by a thread”, the funny comedy written and directed by Luca Dieci from Livorno, singer, actor, director and playwright with the company La Tartaruga of Pisa directed by Rossella Gagliardi. On stage Saturday 18 at 9 pm again at the Enzina Conte Theater at Vertigo in Via del Pallone 2. The old family photo hanging above the fireplace for years, with those unrecognizable but smiling faces, suddenly falls and causes chaos.
A chaos like the one that will overwhelm the respectable family of Elena Alberti Ferrari in just 48 hours, famous writer of motivational books, with a succession of confessions, secrets revealed, angry recriminations, screams, tears, laughter… because all families are unprepared for emotions and tangled in toxic and beautiful relationships. We know that life reserves surprises more or less welcome. What Elena Alberti Ferrari’s respectable family doesn’t know, instead, is that the biggest surprise will bring with it a wave of buried, mitigated or suppressed emotions, sweeping away every balance. Elena and her three children, an apparently perfect family in which hatred and love go hand in hand like two old maids, almost as if hanging by a thread, swing in search of a new stability.
It is in this way that misunderstandings, discord, and anger mix with sarcasm, resentment and, why not, love. This tangled family world gives rise to a funny comedy that the encounters and clashes of the characters will make brilliant and bitter like life.
To frame this family tale, the scene, colors, and music are important.
