A special tour for a special occasion: Giovanni Truppi arrives in Livorno for his only Tuscan date and takes the stage at the Villa Corridi theater in a duet with drummer and producer Marco Buccelli to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of what is considered the first album of the Neapolitan artist (but is actually the second), Il mondo è come te lo metti in testa, released by I Miracoli – Jaba Jaba Music. The album was recorded live in one week in 2013 and was released by Buccelli and Truppi themselves, with a label founded by the former and one created ad hoc by the latter: this year, for the anniversary, it will be released for the first time on vinyl. The two friends and collaborators haven’t played together since that distant 2013: “There are very few occasions when I feel so free – explains Truppi – and that’s why I’m happy to play with Marco for seven nights.” An unmissable opportunity for all fans of the Neapolitan artist, who has organized a small tour in clubs, consisting of only seven dates, to pay tribute to that successful tour that led to the recording of a fundamental album in his musical career. The artist’s latest album, Infinite possibilità per esseri finiti, was released in 2022 and was a finalist for the Tenco Prize. Born and raised in Naples, Truppi started playing the piano at the age of seven and it is by cultivating his passion for music that, in 2021, he performed on the stage of the Ariston during the Sanremo Festival: a magnetic performer with an alternative and atypical view of the world, in addition to the guitar, he uses a piano of his own design in concerts, obtained by modifying an upright piano. Concert starts at 10:30 PM, tickets available on TicketSms. Following the concert, there will be a Robetta Party with a DJ set to dance and have fun until late at night, tickets available directly at the box office for a cost of 10 euros, including the first drink.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16 – The appointment with My Generation returns to The Cage, the event created in collaboration with the Florentine association Musicus Concentus with the aim of supporting live new music and attracting a young audience. This Saturday, December 16, the up-and-coming artists will be Studio Murena, considered by critics and industry professionals one of the most interesting realities in the Italian music scene: The Cage stage is getting ready to host a real journey into the future of hip hop, through a musical avant-garde made of fusion acrobatics and experimentation. Founded in 2018, the Milanese band is considered the pioneer of an original and innovative sound that draws from jazz, funk, and electronic music, finding its narrative language in rap: their eponymous official album was released in 2021 thanks to the collaboration with Costello’s Records and received enthusiastic reviews from industry media. Their journey has been constantly ascending, starting from the first singles inserted by Alessio Bertallot into his radio program Casa Bertallot, passing through the encounter with Ghemon, who included the single Arpa e Tamburo in his playlist on the Nuova Scena created for Tidal, and reaching the inclusion of two songs in the prestigious global playlist Jazz Rap on Spotify. Over the years, Studio Murena has received numerous airplays on the programs Battiti on Rai Radio3 and Musical Box on Rai Radio2, as well as participating in the format Niente di Strano, promoted by Tidal and BuddyBank and presented by Carlo Pastore. In 2022, the band resumed its intense live activity, performing in front of almost 200,000 people in Melpignano for the Notte della Taranta conducted by the conductor Dardust. They signed with Virgin Music Italia in October 2022 and are currently working on their new album, which will be produced by Tommaso Colliva. Concert starts at 10:30 PM, tickets available on TicketSms. Following the concert, as every Saturday and until late at night, there will be a DJ set curated by My Generation – Cage Night Party, tickets available directly at the box office for a cost of 10 euros, including the first drink.
