The last time on The Cage stage dates back to 2019: five years later, the Vietnow will return to shake the hill of Via del Vecchio Lazzeretto with a powerful setlist of Rage Against The Machine’s greatest classics. Born in 2000 on the same day as the iconic Los Angeles band’s breakup, Vietnow is more than just a tribute band, although official, as the four musicians who make up the band are seasoned professionals with great experience, all engaged in extensive and nationally relevant projects. The group is composed of singer Fabrizio Orso Marconi (formerly Rayo Hormiga), bassist Daniele Catalucci (formerly La Crus and Sinfonico Honolulu, currently bassist for Virginiana Miller and Surfer Joe surf ambassador), guitarist Gabrio Baldacci (active with the jazz ensemble Mr Rencore), and drummer Rolando Cappanera (Strana Officina, Tres, and until 2015 drummer with Appino). Despite their diverse artistic paths and distant careers, the four have never abandoned their love for the angry and explosive energy of RATM’s sound, and for over twenty years they continue to come together to celebrate its musical and symbolic vigor on stage. Vietnow, already in the name, pay homage to the invitation to resistance and fight against oppression, quoting the title of Zac de La Rocha, Tom Morello, and company’s famous track, guaranteeing a real journey with each appearance on stage and capable of captivating the audience and thrusting them forcefully into the rebellious and powerful underground of the 90s. The evening at The Cage will also be an opportunity to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the current lineup, which includes drummer Rolando Cappanera. Doors open at 10 pm, concert starts at 10:30 pm; tickets available on TicketSms for 10 euros plus the presale fee. Following the concert, for the night lovers, there will be a dj-set by Robetta Party; tickets can be purchased at the entrance for 10 euros, including the first drink.
Saturday, January 6th – For the first time, the young rapper of Dominican origin 4siento will be on The Cage stage. Jose Aristides Paulino Duran, active in the music scene for 5 years, started his artistic and musical path by composing and recording his first reggaeton and dembow tracks, paying homage to his Caribbean roots; in fact, dembow is a music genre that originated in the Dominican Republic. Thanks to influences from American trap, drill, hip-hop, and pop, 4siento’s music has gradually refined, developing a more melodic sound and covering a wider range of expressions, to the point that 4siento’s latest track, TikTok, was released on December 29th by Universal, along with Orangle Records and Edition Records. The help of the two Livorno producers Giorgio, aka 49Guilty, and Luca, aka Seven Saints Studio, has been fundamental for the project’s growth. The aim is to make it more solid, with the ambition to give listeners something always diverse and original, away from labels and boredom: “I confess that my biggest dream would be to bring the Italian language throughout Latin America through my songs,” says 4siento. “It would be beautiful if Italian artists could be understood without needing to be translated every time.” Doors open at 10 pm, concert starts at 10:30 pm; tickets available on TicketSms for 10 euros plus the presale fee. Following the concert, as is tradition on Saturdays, there will be music and entertainment until late night curated by My Generation Cage Night Party. Ticket price is 10 euros, including the first drink.
