Arriving at the 4 Mori is the second event of the prestigious “Royal Opera House” festival. On Tuesday, December 12th at 8:15 pm, on the big screen of the cinema in via Pietro Tacca, “The Nutcracker” will be performed live from the Royal Opera House in London, thanks to the collaboration with Nexo Digital, My Movies.it, and Trafalgar Releasing. A spectacular production by Peter Wright returns to the stage of one of the most prestigious theaters.
This ballet, created for the Royal Ballet in 1984 and loved all over the world, has now become a classic for both young and old, perfect to get into the Christmas spirit. To the captivating notes of Pëtr Il’ič Čajkovskij’s score, the spectacular choreography by Wright and the timeless and splendid set designs created by Julia Trevelyan Oman, the soloists and the dance company of the London company will guide the audience into an enchanted land, amidst sparkling snowflakes, dancing flowers, and overwhelming character numbers. Sophie Allnatt in the role of Clara, accompanied by Leo Dixon as the Nutcracker, prepares to experience a magical adventure on Christmas Eve night: after an exciting battle between mice and soldiers, the two begin their journey into the realm of sweets, where they will be welcomed by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her prince, played by the principal dancers Anna Rose O’Sullivan and Marcelino Sambé. A unique opportunity to experience this magical show on the big screen, broadcast live in over 940 cinemas in 22 countries.
