Walking with the musical

An extraordinary journey of lights, music, and colors taken from the most famous musicals on the international scene. This is what will be on stage on Sunday, November 12th at 4 pm at the Cinema Teatro 4 Mori with “A spasso col musical”, curated by Compagnia ArteMusical by Davis Baggiani, Domenico Colucci, and Marco Trovato, with the participation of Studio live dance academy and Studio live dance company by Antonella Lippi, Compagnia lirica livornese by Franco Bocci, and in collaboration with some artists from the TV programs “The Voice, The Voice Senior” and “Don’t forget the lyrics.” A journey through the events of the most suggestive theaters in the world, starting from Broadway, passing through Theatreland to reach the Sondheim Theatre and Apollo Victoria Theatre. The guiding thread is the art of the musical, born on September 12th, 1866 in the United States, where for the first time a work born from the union of dance, singing, and prose appeared on stage.

These are the members of the cast: among the artists Marina Ardimento, Simone Bernardeschi, Valentina Caturelli, Domenico Colucci, Leonardo Demi, Massimo Gentili, Tatiana Paggini, Marco Trovato, among the dancers Elia Demi, Francesco Iozzino, Veronica Lami, Nicole De Matteis, and Alessia Mattolini. The hosts are Davis Baggiani and Franco Bocci. Accompaniment by Jacopo Baldacci. The words of Marco Trovato: “In 1998, Domenico Colucci and I met thanks to our passion for music. Then, over time, all the other elements that are part of the group joined, and this production was born. Taking part in this show is always a great emotion for us, which we hope to be able to convey to the audience.”

Franco Bocci’s comment: “There will be many people involved in singing and dancing, and even a comedic interlude. A special work in which we will retrace the history of this art form, from America to our country, with particular attention to Disney songs, capable of capturing the attention of the younger ones.”
