Teenage Dream + Napoleone at The Cage

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22 – The last Livorno event of 2023 with Teenage Dream was sold out almost immediately: the “party at home, but bigger” created by Valentina Savi (on Instagram @tuttelemelediannie) in collaboration with The Cage has been enjoying incredible success throughout Italy for months now, with nights selling out quickly everywhere. This Livorno event near the holidays will be special: the party with friends where everyone starts singing the songs of their adolescence will have a delicious Christmas flavor with the Christmas songs of our childhood, from “Jingle bell rock” from Mean Girls to the final song of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas, to the songs from The Grinch. The music will always be exclusively from the 2000s, with incursions into Disney soundtracks and High School Musical. After the concert, two DJ stations will be set up to dance and have fun until late at night with In The Cage, the classic DJ set of Teenage Dream 2000 and the DJ set of the new 2010s format Midnight Memories under the Magic Tent. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 23 – For the last event of the music festival My Generation, organized by The Cage in collaboration with Musicus Concentus to promote young musical talents, the Romantico Club Tour 2023-2024 by Napoleone, a singer-songwriter originally from Naples but proudly based in Turin, arrives on the stage of the small theater of Villa Corridi. Born in ’92, Napoleone is already a Sony songwriter with numerous songs written for well-known artists (Gaia Gozzi, Chiara Galiazzo, and Michele Bravi, to name a few) when, in 2020, he decides to start his own artistic project: his sound is fresh and international, bringing characters, places, and stories from the past back to life, with a style that maintains the typical atmosphere of Neapolitan funk that has nothing to do with Neapolitan music genre. “Amalfi,” “Porta pacienza,” and “Povera femmina” are his first three singles and are all inspired by the life of Vito Manzo, the beloved songwriter of the Amalfi tradition who died prematurely in 1957. In 2021, he joined INRI, the Torinese label where the singer-songwriter from Capaccio Paestum, Salerno, found a new home for his singer-songwriter project. Then the single “Lacrime a Mare” conquered the playlist of Radio Deejay and inserted itself into the music programming of radios throughout the boot. A little bit Pino Daniele, a little bit Lucio Battisti, a little bit Alan Sorrenti, Napoleone even released a collaboration with Guè Pequeno in 2023, “Capa tosta,” as the closing track of the Milanese rapper’s latest album. Also from 2023 is the recent EP “Va’ e torna,” containing 8 tracks in which Napoleone translates the difficult balance between north and south, going and staying, land and sea.
