The photographer Luigi Angelica and his Fusion images

The images proposed in the exhibition FUSION by photographer Luigi Angelica, from Saturday, December 16th in the exhibition spaces of the Click Art Association, via De Sanctis 34, opening at 4.00 pm, are inspired by the photos in the photographic book “Livorno attraverso le vie d’acqua”, the latest work by the same author.

The exhibition will also be accessible on Sunday, December 17th, from 4.00 pm to 7.30 pm.

A photographer dedicated to telling the city of Livorno with editorial projects of great cultural and historical value for years, Luigi Angelica aims to raise curiosity and interest in photography as an artistic furnishing object with this exhibition. The images, in sizes 50×70 and 40×50, indeed have a painterly aspect born from the fusion of multiple images, hence the name of the exhibition FUSION; images that blend together, with an interesting and attractive result, making them captivating subjects of photographic furnishing. The images are directly printed on forex panels using modern digital technologies.

The reflections of the buildings, monuments, and bridges in the waters of the Livorno canals merge with the urban landscape, creating overlapping objects and saturated colors, particularly the contrast of blues and yellows, creating a visually pleasing impact. The subject seems to emerge from the depths of the colored waters in a dynamic representation.

Through artistic/technical knowledge acquired through experimental experience, Angelica presents us with representations born in the imagination of his mind and reproduced in the two-dimensional reality with extreme skill and good taste: “Photographs that don’t look like photographs.”
