SWAN LAKE has achieved timeless prestige, fueled by the inspired music of Pëtr Il’ič Čajkovskij and the creative and expressive choreography of Marius Petipa.
Čajkovskij composed this masterpiece in a transcendent way: the Suite Op.20 has perpetuated the composer’s ballet. The success of his compositions is due to his ability to express feelings through the musical language, creating intense and emotional melodies.
The choreography by Petipa and Ivanov, which relates the human body to the movements of a swan, reveals their brilliance and creative ability.

The performance of the ballet SWAN LAKE requires great skill and high technique from the dancers. The duality of character present in the purity of the White Swan and the intrigue of the Black Swan demands a high degree of drama and virtuosity in the interpretation of the First Dancer: especially in the Grand Pas de Deux, performed in the second and third acts of the ballet. Another culminating moment is the incredible Dance of the Little Swans.
