It will be a Effetto Venezia dedicated to cinema, the 38th edition that will take place from August 2-6, 2023. It had already happened once in 1995, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the “Seventh Art”, that the administration chose this theme for the event. And to give shape to the ideas, Marco Bruciati will be the artistic director of Effetto Venezia 2023. The organizational and communicative machinery instead, as it has been for the past two years, will be guided by the LEM Foundation – Livorno Euro Mediterranea, already working with the new artistic director.

The image of this edition of Effetto Venezia has been entrusted to the adopted Livorno artist Margherita Tramutoli (known as La Tram) who, starting from a female protagonist, has developed the idea of a city reflected in cinema. The girl with wide eyes is imagined admiringly watching a film, the film of her city, and this projection is sewn onto her, and the videomapping of Venice follows her profile.
