Squares in the center: the show lives in the city
Four squares, four different identities united by a single big cultural billboard. It is born with the aim of bringing the city and its communities back to the center, “Piazze al centro: lo spettacolo abita la città”, the initiative coordinated by Fondazione LEM – Livorno Euro Mediterranea that will liven up the summer in Livorno. The project will actively involve Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza Grande, Piazza San Marco, and Piazza XX Settembre, enhancing the specificities of each area through a diverse program ranging from theater, music, cinema, cabaret, family shows, and street arts. This is not just a summer events lineup, but a real urban and social regeneration intervention. Through the universal language of live performance, the initiative aims to unite the city center and neighborhoods, giving back to the squares their original role as spaces for meeting, sharing, and socializing for residents and visitors. A result of a close collaboration between city institutions, associations, and artists, “Piazze al centro” offers a transversal and quality cultural proposal, designed to reach audiences of all ages. In the spirit of maximum inclusivity and participation, all scheduled events will be free and open to the public.
Piazza Garibaldi: Garibaldissima returns with cabaret, music, and Livorno’s spirit
For the sixth consecutive year Piazza Garibaldi, recently renovated, comes alive with the classic fifteen show dates of Garibaldissima, the festival of music, theater, and cabaret organized by Fondazione LEM for the Municipality of Livorno with artistic direction by Claudio Marmugi.
