Sunday, July 19, Alessandro Benvenuti in “M. M. – Me Medesimo”, recital, at 9.30 pm: the famous monologue written twenty years ago by Alessandro Benvenuti for the unforgettable Andrea Cambi returns to life, performed and read (for the first time in Livorno) by its author… himself! A stage, a box, a lectern, and a man. The man is Cencio, on stage with his crisis. In his mind, the movies of his life – which resemble the tale of the vicissitudes of an entire generation. Alessandro Benvenuti describes this show as: “Me medesimo, or how to combine pain, poetry, and comedy. A compartmentalized writing that proceeds by leaps to tell thoughts in that disorderly order typical of daydreams. Me Medesimo is not a show but a piece of life to be experienced on stage.” Admission, 15 euros.

Monday, July 20, Alessandro Benvenuti presents and comments on the film “Ritorno a Casa Gori”, at 9.30 pm: Alessandro Benvenuti returns to “Sguardi in Fortezza” after the success of last year to present the audience with the second chapter of the tragicomic adventures of the Gori family. The film, released in 1996, begins with the sudden death of Adele. This event will set off a series of sensational twists and turns that will intertwine and alter the destinies of each character, while Adele watches over everyone and everything from above. The film is paired with the presentation of Alessandro Benvenuti’s book “Il teatro della sorpresa” (Florence Art Edizioni), where the author will answer questions about his career, his writing, and his films. Admission, 7 euros.
