Pianist, singer-songwriter and arranger, he graduated in piano with top marks from the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania under the guidance of Prof. Nadina Rinaldi and in the two-year specialization course in piano at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan discussing an experimental thesis on the Austrian composer Friedrich Gulda.

Among his most important compositions, “una commedia divina” was selected by the Antoniano di Bologna as one of the 12 songs of the 58th Zecchino d’Oro and was awarded the “Rai Zecchino Web” prize. In the same year, he debuted with the project “Neri canta Modugno”: the young musician developed a show where he critically comments and stages the main compositions of the well-known Apulian singer-songwriter. With this show, he won the 2016 edition of the Risuoni Festival.

In 2017, his piano and voice interpretation of the famous song “La sveglietta” by Domenico Modugno was broadcast in prime time on Canale 5: this performance received huge acclaim from industry professionals and the general public.

In the same year, he won the first prize in three international competitions: International piano competition “Amigdala”, International piano competition “Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto”, Ibla Grand Prize. In the latter competition, he received a double mention: “Friedrich Gulda mention” and “outstanding musician” mention, which earned him a place among the 10 musicians who in April 2019 held a tour in the main capitals of the Asian continent, including Tokyo, at the KIOI Hall and in May 2019 in the United States with the final stage at Carnegie Hall in New York.

He has performed in numerous concert halls, cultural institutes, and embassies around the world: In Germany, the United Kingdom, Georgia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Arkansas, and Virginia.

In July 2021, he won the Absolute First Prize at the Italian Performer Cup, an artistic event that brings together the best performers from all over Italy.

In November, he participated in the talent show of the same name aired on Rai Due, finishing second overall. In the same month, his first solo album Music in a Box? was released, containing four original songs and four covers, taken from the homonymous Concert-Documentary, in both USB and Vinyl versions.

In the biennium 2022-2023, he was engaged as a composer and arranger for numerous projects, including “Spirito e Parole”, a journey of songs within human spirituality featuring Pierdavide Carone and produced by International music and Arts (IMARTS), “Omaggio a Lucio Dalla” and “Love Morricone”, commissioned by the Coro Lirico Siciliano for the lyric festival of the Stone Theaters, where his orchestrations for orchestra and lyric choir came to life among the sacred stones of places as important and evocative as the Andromeda Theater (Santo Stefano Quisquina, AG), the Greek Theater of Tindari, the Greek Theater of Syracuse, and the Greek Theater of Taormina.

At the beginning of 2023, his latest album, NERI PLAYS, was released, featuring some of his reinterpretations of Ennio Morricone’s music and some of his original compositions. Attached to the album, which was produced with an “Eco-green” philosophy in collaboration with MEDEA, is a concert film titled “Fantasia su Morricone”: a journey through the music of the album accompanied by images of the most beautiful Sicilian locations.

In 2024 and 2025, he collaborated with international organizations and orchestras such as the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, the Sicilian Lyric Choir, the Figaro Opera Society as an arranger of Symphonic Suites.

In June 2024, he was invited by the Italian Institute of Culture in Seoul for a tour of 5 concerts in South Korea.
