At 9:15 PM The space for critical and historiographical analysis will propose a dialogue with three voices on the role and talent of Italian singer-songwriters. On stage will be the journalist, radio host (Radio Popolare, Radio Raheem) and essayist Piergiorgio Pardo to present his extensive volume “Matrilineare. Italian music in the words of singer-songwriters” (minimum fax), an intersectional study that reconstructs over seventy years of female songwriting; alongside him will be the award-winning singer-songwriter and pianist from Palermo Giulia Mei (transplanted to Milan, triumphant in Genova Per Voi, finalist at the Tenco Awards and viral with the manifesto song “Bandiera”, with over four million streams and soundtrack of Emma Dante’s theatrical show in Paris), who will perform on stage.

The deep literary reflection on the concept of matrilinearity will find its natural and perfect sublimation in the final concert by GINEVRA DI MARCO scheduled at 10:00 PM. A historic melodic soul of C.S.I. in the nineties and a voice present in the album Matrilineare from 1996 which inspired the essay, the Tuscan artist will celebrate thirty years of research and expressive freedom by bringing to the stage the live performance of her latest musical project, “Kaleidoscope”, winner of the Targa Tenco 2025 as Best Performer (the fourth of her prestigious career). Accompanied by Francesco Magnelli (piano and magnellophoni), Andrea Salvadori (guitars and tzouras) and Pino Gulli on drums, Ginevra Di Marco will give life to a continuous flow of popular songs from the Mediterranean and South America, stories of rights and work, dialoguing with her alternative rock roots and paying homage to masters like Battiato, CSI, and De André.

In addition to the performances on the stage of Piazza del Luogo Pio, as every year, Effetto Venezia 2026 also includes a dense program of shows, exhibitions, book presentations, artistic proposals of various kinds that will liven up the entire neighborhood of Venezia Nuova for five days and will be the subject of a press conference on the 8th of July next that will see the simultaneous launch of the image and the 2026 website.
