Salt is an intimate journey through the life of one of the most beloved and contradictory composers in Italian history. An absent father, an abandoned conservatory, a wandering operetta company, a child dead at birth, another taken away by the war. And in the midst of all this, Cavalleria Rusticana — an opera written in just one night, capable of making half the world cry. A tale that is at once memories, confessions, and farewells.
