WINE ON STAGE

Telling the wine through the language of cinema and theater, transforming the tasting into a live show. From this vision comes “Wine on stage,” a new cultural project that will bring to the Cinema Teatro 4 Mori in Livorno four evenings of show-tasting dedicated to the great legends of the wine world

Tell the wine through the language of cinema and theater, turning the tasting into a live show. This vision gives rise to “Wine on Stage,” a new cultural project that will bring four evenings of performance-tasting dedicated to the great legends of the wine world to the Cinema Teatro 4 Mori in Livorno.

The format is conceived and organized by Simone Nannipieri of Enoturistica, Serena Cassarri, and Claudio Monteleone, actor and writer, who signs and performs the narrative and theatrical part of the shows.

It is not a series of tastings or conferences, but real narrative performances, where words, images, acting, and wine coexist in a unique experience. Each evening is constructed as a story, with precise dramaturgy and a theatrical rhythm, where tasting does not interrupt the narration but becomes an integral part of it.

The series of events is divided into four evenings, each dedicated to an iconic theme of the world of wine and drinking:

– February 14th – “The Devil’s Wine,” a journey through myth, intuition, and error that tells the story of the birth of Champagne and great bubbles through figures like Dom Pérignon, the Widow Clicquot, Giulio Ferrari, and Carlo Gancia.

– March 14th – “Rocca delle Macìe and ‘They Call Him Trinity,'” the surprising story of Italo Zingarelli, film producer and founder of one of the iconic wineries of Chianti Classico, in a tale that combines Italian popular cinema and wine.

– April 11th – “The Legend of the Black Rooster,” a dive into the history and myth of Chianti Classico, between territorial identity, symbols, and origins.

– May 10th – “The Belle Époque,” an evening dedicated to the symbol liquors of an era – Vermouth, Absinthe, and Galliano – and the figures of Leonetto Cappiello, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Amedeo Modigliani, and others, between art, advertising, excess, and modernity.

The Cinema Teatro 4 Mori becomes not just the venue for the events but an integral part of the project: the perfect place to tell the wine as a cultural imaginary, through the dialogue between live performance and cinematic vision.

“Wine on Stage” is born with the aim of offering the public a different experience, capable of involving not only the palate but also memory, emotion, and imagination.

A format designed for wine lovers, but also for those curious to discover the stories behind its great myths.
