The INTERNATIONAL SAILING WEEK returns to Livorno.

The International Sailing Week will return to color the sea of Livorno from April 24 to May 3, 2026. The dates of next year’s edition were officially announced in recent days during the event presentation, hosted at the Italian Navy Officers’ Club.

Among those present at the meeting were Admiral Alberto Tarabotto, commander of the Naval Academy, the national councilor of the Italian Sailing Federation Andrea Leonardi, and Andrea Mazzoni, president of the Livorno sailing clubs, confirming the strong link between the event, the city, and the main sports and military institutions of the area.

One of the most important novelties is the return of the 420 class, which will stop in Livorno with a race of the Italian Cup valid for the qualifications for the European and World Championships of the category. An addition that further enriches the program and strengthens the role of the ISW as a reference point for youth sailing.

Some of the events that have contributed over the years to make the International Sailing Week a prominent event in the nautical scene will remain in the calendar: the Naval Academies Regatta and the historic Naval Academy Regatta – Ran 630 are confirmed.

“The 2026 edition – explained Admiral Tarabotto – will focus on a constant growth in sports quality, hosting at least one national-level regatta every year. Great attention will also be given to inclusive sailing, with dedicated boat classes and the presentation of a new boat designed for athletes with disabilities.”

A clear direction has been set for the ISW 2026: enhance high-level competition without losing sight of the themes of inclusion and participation, confirming Livorno as one of the Italian capitals of sailing.
