The project was carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Livorno, Province of Livorno, Municipality of Castagneto Carducci, Livorno Foundation, Museum of Mediterranean Natural History. The fundamental purpose of the project is to disseminate the positive values of jazz music, in an interdisciplinary context and through live listening.
Presented at the Auditorium of the Museum of Natural History of the Mediterranean the musical project curated by the Association Rasenna Music Art The Path of Jazz, articulated around a series of lectures, concerts, painting, and photography to be held in Livorno and Castagneto Carducci, in the months of March and April. Present at the press conference were the musicologist Renzo Cresti, the musician Giulio Boschi, and the painter Umberto Falchini.
In the month of March, moments of reflection and in-depth analysis on key aspects of jazz will be proposed, with three lectures open to the public and with educational value for teachers of all levels, for which teacher credits can be used. The coordination of the lectures is curated by the musicologist Renzo Cresti. Each theme will be illustrated directly with live performances, with interventions specially prepared by the duo Rasenna Jazz Messengers with Max Fantolini, piano, and Giulio Boschi, double bass.
Five concerts will take place in April, retracing the stages outlined during the training course. During the concerts, pictorial and photographic images with paintings by Umberto Falchini and photographs by Flavio Buzzini and Simona Simoncini will be projected.
