MyAmy, the tribute band of Amy Winehouse at The Cage

There are those who say they loved Amy Winehouse, and those who lie. Torn away from life at a very young age, the London singer-songwriter was one of the most influential voices of her generation, and beyond. In the span of a very brief, explosive, and fierce existence, she managed to express an unmistakable style in which irony and suffering found a perfect connection, giving millions of fans wonderful songs balancing between the warm and enveloping soul of the ’70s and the fresh and lively contemporary rhythm and blues. An unforgettable talent to which the myAmy decided to pay tribute by founding a band that would bring her repertoire around. Born in Livorno in 2024 with the aim of researching the sounds, rhythm, and arrangements of the British singer, the myAmy immediately shun the risk of caricature and bring a true act of love to the stage. They are the singer Barbara Pitti, who interprets with passion and respect the unique timbre of Amy, guitarist Diego Elia, who captures the blues and jazz nuances of her songs, bassist Andrea Giudice, essential to reproduce the distinctive groove of the songs, keyboardist Dario Petronici, who enriches the arrangements with elegance, drummer Luca Cecchetto, who gives energy and rhythm to the performances, and saxophonist Luca Mario Mariotti, who adds a touch of refinement and depth of sound. Although the six have already performed in some venues in Livorno and the province, the one at The Cage will be the first real live debut. An unmissable opportunity to enjoy not only the songs that brought Amy Winehouse’s success, from Back to Black to Rehab, through Stronger than me, but also those less famous songs yet capable of expressing great strength, especially in the live space, away from the obligatory tracks of studio recordings. “We studied all of Amy’s live performances just to pay homage to them in the most honest and faithful way possible – recounts Luca Cecchetto – and to offer the audience the exuberant and intense sounds and dynamics typical of her concerts.” The appointment is at 22:30; door opening, as always, is at 22:00.
