Christmas concert in the Cathedral for the 40th anniversary of the Coro Del Corona

The holidays are approaching and as every year the usual Christmas concert of the Polyphony Review “City of Livorno” is coming, the third event of this XXI edition. For this 2024 the format will be different from usual, in fact to celebrate its 40 years of activity the organizing choir Rodolfo Del Corona has invited choral groups from the area for an evening of “voices festival” in friendship and solidarity that will take place in the Cathedral on Friday, December 20 at 9 pm.

In addition to the “Del Corona” choir that will open the evening under the usual direction of Maestro Luca Stornello, the Corale Domenico Savio directed by Maestro Andrea Gorini will participate, the “Vox Humana” ensemble directed by Maestro Massimo Gelichi, and the “Vincenzo Galilei” Choir of the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa directed by Maestro Gabriele Micheli. To top it off, enriching the program, there will be Maestro Massimo Signorini on the accordion. The host for the evening will be presenter Giulia Socci.

The music programs will offer us a wide range of experiences and attitudes, from Renaissance authors to contemporary music, in a pleasant and certainly interesting alternation, with a particular focus on the upcoming Christmas, and some surprises.
