For the Afternoons of the Vespucci-Colombo Library, on Friday, December 13, at 6.00 pm, in the Great Hall of the Vespucci-Colombo Institute, piazza Vigo, 1, the book Fragments of Armor – A collection of stories from the Livorno prison (Ala Libri) edited by Marina Visciano, Giorgia Martano, Silvia Conforti, Petula Giusti. Introduction by Sarah Salvini.
The event is organized in collaboration with Erasmo Libri.
The text is a collection of stories produced in the first session of the creative writing course for emotions aimed at inmates of High Security of the Sughere Prison of Livorno.
The course, held in May-June 2023 by some volunteers of the Italian Red Cross of the local Committee, is part of a broader project started at the end of March 2022 thanks to a protocol of understanding between the Penitentiary Administration of Livorno and the Italian Red Cross – Livorno Committee. The project aims to enhance the services of the Committee with activities not only of assistance but also aimed at the promotion and autonomy of the individual.
